Job readiness means having the motivation and ability to work, with support where needed.
The Department of Social Protection and Employability Monaghan Cavan will assess this with you.
How we support you in more detail
We support you at every stage of your journey.
Career Guidance
We help you plan your career, identify your skills and strengths, and set goals.
Employment Needs Assessment (ENA) and Individual Employment Plan (IEP)
We work with you to assess your needs and agree a plan which is reviewed regularly.
Employment Support
We support you with CVs, applications, interview preparation, job matching, and access to work experience.
Work Experience
We can arrange work experience placements. These are free for both jobseekers and employers.
In-Work Support
We provide ongoing support and coaching to help you settle into and succeed in your workplace.
Follow-Up Support
We continue to support you and your employer to help you stay in your job.
Benefits Advice
We provide clear, accurate advice on how work may affect your payments before you start.
Period of Engagement
You can usually work with us for 12 months. In some cases, this may be extended up to 18 months with approval from the Department of Social Protection.
